The #book I am reading these days. Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson . (As far as I understood) based on a yearlong AD&D #ttrpg campaign. For that reason it also sports some of the absurdities of the Dungeons & Dragons game. For one humans seem to becoming Gods at some point in their career.

The universe is enormous and one of the attractions of the book is to be taken through some really strange places that internally seems logical an thoroughly thought through while it also is foreign and weird. It also has some demanding purple prose which is one of my special pleasures.
