Rainforest in Fall

For the second Fall in a row since moving from San Diego up to the southern coast of the Salish Sea, I am mind-boggled by nature's psychedelic explosion in the kettle forest behind my mom's house. A kettle is a depression/wetland created by "dead ice" left behind by a receding glacier. Now some of them are little fingers of rainforest in the suburbs of Olympia, Washington.
