#Kiev has recognised the shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian armed forces and considers it necessary to mobilise young people under the age of 25. This was announced by an aide to the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Sergey Leshchenko.
In #Ukraine, men between the ages of 27 and 60 are now subject to conscription, while the restriction on leaving the country applies to citizens subject to military service from the age of 18. In May, the Verkhovnaya Rada passed a bill to lower the minimum draft age to 25, but the president has yet to sign it.
