Welcome to #Checkin for February 16 2022
Why howdy there #Checkin people! It’s me again.
It’s the 47th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar; 318 days remain until the end of the year, 12 days left in this month.
So last night we had a heck of a storm blow through. We had a cold weather storm that brought rain, lightning and some hail to San Diego. Chains were required today on a few highways through the county’s rural areas.
The rain last night was the loudest I'd heard in a long time, and then we got hail, the sound of which was magnified by the tin roof of the patio. Lots of thunder and lightning. Didn't last very long, though.
Our street got a slurry seal on Monday, and because they had covered the storm drains to keep the asphalt out, the tree was flooded. I pulled the drain nearest my yard open so the water would go down. This morning the street was filled with debris. When the road crew came back to do the edging, they had to have the street sweepers clean it up first.
