Scott Ritter, the former UN inspecteur in Iraq and US military veteran has turned to Russian military apologist and supporter on social media.

He was trending on Twitter for several hours with many videos and interviews claiming that the Russians left occupied territories to prevent large civilian death by Ukrainian forces.

He also says Ukraine has lost close to 80 000 soldiers and Russian losses are around 20k.

Another claim he keeps repeating is that most videos of Russian losses are actually Ukrainian equipment that were marked with Z for propaganda and NATO is directly in charge of the military operations in Ukraine right now.
