July 22, 2021: In the extreme heatwave and drought of the West.

A rare and amazing rainstorm tonight.The rain gutter that runs along the side of my building is about 4 feet deep. It was almost overflowing to the adjoining property next door. I leaned out of a window to take photographs of the beautiful sight of water, and heard a child screaming. It turned out to be a young boy, screaming with total delight as he jumped up and down in the pouring rain. It was overflowing onto the sidewalk.
I leaned out to let the rain wet my hair, and looked up to have rain on my face. Ohhh. It was so wonderful. The sound of rumbling thunder and bolts of lightning was also very wonderful. I opened windows and the wind blew in, and blew things all around and to the floor inside my apartment. I love all of it.
