Is pluspora working for anyone? It's not working for me now.

I have a (strictly opt-in) plan which lets you still view posts with images that were hosted on pluspora.com, if you have backed up that image data. It doesn't work in general, only on web browsers on computers where you've redirected pluspora.com to my spare web server. The basic steps involved are:

1) Give me the backed up image data so I upload it to my spare web server (this obviously involves you trusting me with this data. I will not view this data or provide it to anyone else other than my web server provider - bear in mind that this provider is Microsoft Azure - but this is just me providing a verbal assurance, so ... take it for what it is worth)

2) On the computer you wish to use and view pluspora.com hosted images, edit the "hosts" file to redirect pluspora.com to chumblehome.centralus.cloudapp.azure.com

3) Try to browse to pluspora.com with https and the web browser will complain that the https certificate does not match what it expects. You'll have to tell the web browser to ignore this; the method varies with web browser.

4) You can now view posts with images that were hosted on pluspora.com, but only those which have been backed up and uploaded to my spare server. This includes copies of the posts on other diaspora pods, and also socialhome (which, unlike diaspora pods, allow browsing and search without an account on the socialhome pod).

I don't remember if this is exactly how it goes ... it's been a while since I looked at my plan, and also coincidentally the computer I was experimenting with this plan has just died this morning.

This plan has a lot of limitations, and my guess is that only a limited number of people will be interested in participating. However, I always intended to provide this option for those who are interested. So I'm following through on that intention.
