Amazing stupidity of the Swedish banking system

It is very easy to open a bank account in Sweden if you are an EU citizen

All you need is a passport, proof of residency and wait a minute a digital identification service called #BankID.

But you can't have a bank ID if you don't have a bank account in Sweden. So you need to have a bank account in order to have a BankID in order to be able to open a bank account "easily".

The fact that people think this is normal is making me go mas. Spent an hour on the phone with my bank bank in Sweden to see how my kids can open a bank account and it was like definition of catch 22.
