Rome wasn't sacked for the first time until 410 AD. Aside from time gradually accelerating, The States here have only been around for 247 years, and I think maybe we should throw a big "Ongoing End of The United States" party, We'd have to invite all the other countries, some of which would like to sack us so we can have another dark ages, but hey, maybe some of our buddies could jump in for us... not sure we have any of those anymore though.
