Flight attendant uniforms have been changing and I can’t, for the life of me, understand why skirts/dresses are even an option considering the duties of serving as in-flight safety managers in a climate-controlled setting. Pants or longer shorts seem more practical. However, airlines seem quite proud of being gender neutral in their new uniform offerings.
I have worked in places with structured clothing requirements. When I worked in a hospital I had to wear a nurses uniform (back before it was colourful scrubs) complete with pantyhose if it was a skirt style. At least you bought your own so it fit. Last job they had great fit for larger/taller people but for me not so much. Once I moved to meeting external inspectors/auditors I wore jeans and t-shirts with my long sleeved work shirt as a jacket because company supplied clothing looked sloppy and unprofessional.
