What RSS tools do folks have for Google+, if any?

It seems there are a number of RSS feed / gateway tools which had been created in the past but which no longer work.

I've run across:

[Google+ to RSS](gplusrss.com), which wants my G+ login data (sorry, no).
"4 Ways to Get Your Google Plus RSS Feeds" mentions four services to make RSS feeds of which one is the above service, ...
plu.sr appears to be dead
Yahoo Pipes wants me to create a Yahoo account (sigh). OK, I'll try that and report back.
The now-defunct PlusFeed.

Seems Google are trying really hard to break RSS. I wonder why.
