Free speech, except for people I disagree with.

Pardon me for saying so because I'm #newhere and it's only my first day on diaspora. But I learned about this ugly idea when one of my aspects posted something with the hashtags #ignorelist and #blocklist.

It's nice that we can block people from our feed and keep them from commenting on our posts. But it's a whole nother thing to tell other people who they should block! Can't you just quietly block someone without throwing them under the bus on the whole platform? Self-appointed censors just piss me off, I'm sorry. I thought diaspora was all about no censorship, no shadow-banning and all that other free speech stuff. How sad to see it on my new platform.
