  1. Artist records performance --- to digital or analogue audio tape.
  2. Recording is mixed and engineered, cut to laquer-coated aluminium disk.
  3. Lacquer is silver and nickle electroplated to form master.
  4. Stampers are pressed from master, 2,000 psi at 300°F.
  5. Warm vinyl "biscuit" is sandwiched between lables and pressed in mold from stamper.

Freshly-pressed records are cooled, trimmed, stacked, checked, assembled into sleeves & jackets, wrapped, and shipped.

Every vinyl recording is already at least a fifth-generation copy.
