Welcome to #Checkin for Friday, December 17, 2021!

One of my favourite things about this time of year is all the festivals of lights. More than just the contrast to the deep darkness of northern hemisphere winter days, I think the many forms of lights lift our spirits. After all, these festivals are celebrated worldwide in both hemispheres. Every year, within the span of a few months these take place: Diwali, Chanukah, St. Lucia, Christmas, the Lunar NY Lantern festival and more....
