Why howdy there #Checkin people!
Here in the US it’s National Handwriting Day, which is sad, as since my brain surgery, I can no longer write very well. My hand no longer wants to cooperate for such tasks. Typing, fine. Handwriting... it looks like I used my foot. Footwriting, hmm…
It’s also National Pie Day, which we will celebrate internationally on the 14th of March. I love pie. Valerie loves pie. We love pie so much, we had wedding pie. Some people at the reception were chagrinned. Mortified. I don’t know why, it wasn’t their damned wedding.
Of course, not my kin, who were very well oiled by the time the food was served. They ate anything and everything thrown at them. My peeps know how to party. It was the loudest, most raucous section, bar none. Then there were the Mariachis...
Wedding pies have gotten pretty popular as of late. Of course, when Valerie and I did it sixteen years ago, it wasn't yet a thing.
I like to think we started a trend.
