Good evening/morning/afternoon everyone and welcome to today's #checkin. Wet and cold greetings from Germany. Ugly weather. Today was the National Warning Day and at 11am most phones buzzed and made a noise. It was the first time they tested Cell Broadcast, a technology where all phones that are logged into a cell tower receive an alert. The standard is decades old but only recently and finally implemented in Germany... Yeah...

To my surprise it worked reasonable well and also the sirens in the city were going. So when was the last time you were positively surprised? Maybe even from the Government? Something they did excellent? Of course any other surprise as well!
