The latest edition of Dezeen Debate features Ibrahim M Jaidah's design for a building in Doha, Qatar, that is shaped like the number 2022.

Created to coincide with Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup, the block was described by its developer as being "the first building in the world to resemble a year".

Named Iconic 2022, it was built at Doha Sports City opposite the Khalifa International Stadium, which will host games during this year's World Cup.

Commenters aren't sold. One joked that the design, "Looks a bit dated".
