The latest edition of Dezeen Debate features the 15 home shortlisted for the 2022 edition of Don't Move, Improve!

A converted artist's studio and a pastel-hued extension with Romanesque arches are among the projects vying to be named London's best home renovation in this year's Don't Move, Improve! competition.

Organised by New London Architecture (NLA), the contest celebrates the "most innovative home improvement projects" in the capital.

Commenters are impressed. One said, "Great works. I am inspired".

A building in the shape of the year 2022 features in today's Dezeen Debate newsletter

The latest edition of Dezeen Debate features Ibrahim M Jaidah's design for a building in Doha, Qatar, that is shaped like the number 2022.

Created to coincide with Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup, the block was described by its developer as being "the first building in the world to resemble a year".

Named Iconic 2022, it was built at Doha Sports City opposite the Khalifa International Stadium, which will host games during this year's World Cup.

Commenters aren't sold. One joked that the design, "Looks a bit dated".

The latest edition of Dezeen Debate features Elon Musk's plan to construct the North Miami Beach Loop tunnel in Miami.

Musk's infrastructure firm The Boring Company has submitted plans to build a tunnel that would shuttle people in a dedicated fleet of Tesla cars from the north of Miami to the beach.

Measuring six miles long the tunnel would connect the commuter railway station at Golden Glades with Sunny Isles Beach on the city's eastern coast.

Commenters aren't keen. One called it, "possibly the most useless idea ever".

Commenters are wowed by the Spanish house, which was designed by studio MACH in Barcelona and sits on a backstreet close to Gaudi's Parc Güell.

Yellow steelwork and industrial-style interiors characterise Casa Collumpio, which was informed by the high-tech architecture movement.

One reader called the design "very bold and courageous" in the comments section.
