Márquwç 12 part 1
- So He began to talk about them in parables: "A Man planted a vineyard, and placed a fence around it, and dug a winepress, and built a tower, and leased it out to farmers, and left the country. 2. And at the season, He sent out to the farmers a bondman, in order that He might take from the farmers some from the fruit of the vineyard. 3. But they, having seized him, beat him, and sent him away empty. 4. And again, He sent to them another bondman, and having stoned him, they struck him on the head, and sent him away having dishonored him. 5. And He again sent another, and him, they killed; and He sent many others! And they indeed were beating some, and killing off others. 6. Therefore, having yet one Son, his own Beloved, He sent also Him to them lastly, saying: "They will have respect for My Son." 7. But those farmers said, among their selves: "This One is the Heir! Come, let’s kill Him off, and the inheritance will be ours!" [Compare 1 dirt-man and causing-life 48:7-8] 8. And having seized Him, they killed Him off, and threw Him out outside the vineyard. 9. Think for yourselves: when He might come, what will the Owner of the vineyard do to those farmers?" [MattithYâ´huw 21:40] They say to Him: "Worthless ones! He will come and destroy them for their wickedness, and he will lease out the vineyard to other farmers, who will give over the fruits in their seasons!" [MattithYâ´huw 21:41] 10. Yâhuwshúa` says to them: "Due to this I say to you that the Kingdom of Yâ-hwéh shall be taken from you, and it shall be given to a heathen-mass rendering its fruits." [MattithYâ´huw 21:43] And when they understood it, they said: "May it not be!" But He, fixedly looking at them, said: [Luwqá’ 20:16-17] "And didn't ye read this scripture? 'A Stone the builders rejected has come to be for a Chief Angular Stone: 11. This Stone has been from with Yâ-hwéh, it is a marvelous One in our eyes:' [Songs 118:22-23] Everyone who falls upon this Stone shall be shattered, but whomever It might fall on, It will pulverize him!" [Luwqá’ 20:16-18] [See Dâ´niyyë´’l 2:34-35] 12. And they sought to seize Him, but they feared the crowd, for they realized that He spoke the parable about them! So abandoning Him, they departed. 13. And they sent forth to Him some of the Pharushíym with some of the house of Heródes (67) in order that they might entrap Him with words. 14. And they, having come, say to Him: "Instructor! We discern that You are true, and to You there is no favoritism about anyone, for You don't look at the aspect of dirt-men, rather, You teach the Way of ’Elówâhh (the Mighty Being) in Truth. Is it lawful to give the poll tax to Kæ´sar, or not? 15. Should we give, or should we not give?" But He, perceiving their dissimulation, said to them: "Why do you test Me? Show Me the coin reckoned as being of value (Numismatic) of the tax. [MattithYâ´huw 22:19] Bring Me a denarius in order that I may see it." 16. And they brought it to Him. And He says to them: "Whose is this image with the inscription?" And they said to Him: "Kæ´sar's" 17. And responding, Yâhuwshúa said to them: "Then give over Kæ´sar's things to Kæ´sar, and Yâ-hwéh's things to Yâ-hwéh!" (68) And they marveled at Him.
(67) Greek: Heródians, meaning partisans of Heródes, but here it is rendered as per the Peshitta Aramaic translation and the Old Syriac.
(68) Some consider this merely a clever comeback. There is more to it than that. Note that Yâ-hwéh cannot lie, and the cash or gold or silver which bears the inscriptions of the organization which puts it into circulation actually belongs to that organization. This was so, even later with gold certificates, and with Federal Reserve paper in the case of the USA. Thus the concept of ownership of this currency is invalid and when we are gathered into His Kingdom, we leave that behind.
