but Palestinians are not European. Using Germans for all ignored evil in the past is the typical tunnel vision thinking set that got monstrous atrocities of Europeans outside of the continent painted as something positive and worth raising statues over.

Americans ignored Vietnam, they only turned antiwar when their boys started to come home in body bags. French still raise statues over their criminal atrocities in Africa and specifically Algeria.
Belgians still have statues of. King Leopold and of course Britain is living in complete denial of their 500 years of crimes against humanity in every part of the world. Same with Spain, Italy Netherlands and all other European countries.

But maybe this will give some push for those who have moved on and ignoring the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
