This may sound sweeping, but I mean it nonetheless: the US cannot be considered a serious country anymore on any subject. It is too corrupt, conflicted and compromised to be taken seriously whatever any of its representatives speak about. It has no vision, no clarity, no red lines on anything and not even a modicum of cool headed objectivity. It is really a banana republic with monstrous PR
