Oh. I love this clock.
It doesn’t work. It was always 3:00 o'clock in Paris for a long time. Then I set the time to 1:55. The clock and I never reach the Midnight Hour.
Amazingly, the alarm works beautifully. I pull the alarm, and what a thrill. There it is!! It's exactly the same sound that rang out somewhere in Paris in the 1930s.
