Because Friendica supports many network types, not all of which reshare well, and there is sensitivity around boosting content from networks like Threads, I've started dabbling with giving users the option to toggle network capabilities in Relatica. For example, if a user was on a server that linked to Threads and they wanted to see and like the content but not comment or reshare so that other servers wouldn't have the Threads data pushed to them this would help them ensure they don't accidentally do that. Similarly, Diaspora reshares don't federate well to some other networks (Mastodon yes, Pleroma no) so perhaps I'd turn that off to not accidentally reshare Diaspora content.
