It’s my last day already and @Christoph S is up next! Time for me to start thinking of new topics but first…
It’s a travel day again! We’re visiting the in-laws, then my family and finally stopping to kayak in the BC interior. This will likely be our last trip to the coast for this year. I remember when I only had 2 weeks of holidays. We would spend long weekends with the in-laws then the 2 week block with my family on the coast. As I got more vacation time, we started traveling - no point in hanging around with family too much😉
There's a fine line between short stays and moving around too often to settle. I find the perfect length of time to stay with family is 4 to 5 days but when we rent a home near a beach, I can lounge for a week.
We even used to move every couple of years until we built this house and we would have moved from here but we were priced out of the market we wanted to enter. Eh Bien. It's not hard to stay in a home that suits us. Just too bad it's so far from a beach. Thankfully we are close to an airport.
Are you a wanderer or have you put down roots? How long do you like to be away from home?
Grab your beverage preference (pixel or not) and enjoy the space. I try to keep things light but this is your thread so … there’s always an element of randomness. Sometimes it changes course and sometimes ideas are more nuanced.
