Let there be lights!

My daughter installed her first ceiling light in their apartment today. She was surprised that there were no screws involved (Sweden haa special socket for ceiling lights).

She will install one in their kitchen later.

Easy spicy noodles!

It's really easy to make some really tasty spicy noodles. Ingredients:

1) Instant ramen, such as Sapporo Ichiban Ramen (can be replaced with any pasta, like plain spaghetti noodles, with bouillon cubes and/or instant miso soup for extra flavor)

2) Fueru Wakame (dried seaweed) - you can skip this if you don't like the smell/taste of it (I LOVE it)

3) Cold cuts, such as roast beef, or pastrami, or corned beef, or whatever you like. The texture of boiled cold cuts is a very different way of experiencing them.

4) Hot and spicy pork rinds - you can skip these if you want, but they really add to the flavor and they get this wonderful slurpy texture/feel

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) boil water

2) put in the stuff

3) stir around for a little bit while boiling to prevent the pasta from sticking to the pot. If you put stuff underneath the pasta to prevent it from touching the pot initially, you might not need to do this at all. Whatever ... I like stirring it around a bit just so it makes me feel like I'm "cooking stuff".

4) boil for at least 3 minutes for instant ramen, or at least 10 minutes for traditional pasta. It is okay to boil for much longer, so don't worry about getting it exactly right.

That's it! No need to strain the pasta or anything, just eat directly or transfer to a bowl.
