"Stop right there, Major."
[...]
"You can't do that."
"Yes I can, and as chief medical officer, not even captain Sisko can countermand my orders."
These lines from an exchange between #Kira & #Bashir on #DS9 (possibly still the best #StarTrek ), on my mind,
as a social commentary
(after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g197xdRZsW0 ( which i just posted about, after watching it, https://dnext.societas.online/posts/c2cf38f0f851013c3836723c915ba918 ) and also reminded while typing this post, that DS9 relates to this to, as, in (iirc) the pilot episode (or 2nd?) the move the station, by lowering the inertial mass. ... same basic concept as zero inertia propulsion, and "decoupling" as #TerenceHoward put it in that Joe Rogan episode. ~ which was a mind blowing episode btw.).
and even wondering if ds9 were cancelled because it was getting too on the nose with its section 31 stuff, especially with genius medical expert being sought to be included in the secret power operating without checks and balances, "for the greater good"...
