"And that is why you're not an evil man."
#ds9 s6e11, "waltz", on my mind these days.

how many around you these days could you rouse to mouthfrothing lust for vindictive attrocities and drop them a revelatory switch, right at the pinnacle, like "and that is why we're the good guys".

Note about 2 women kissing in #StarTrek #DS9

Steve Oster recollected that a man called the show and complained, "You're ruining my kids by making them watch two women kiss like that." It was a production assistant who took the call. After hearing the man's complaint, the PA asked if the man would've been okay with his kids seeing one woman shoot the other. When the man said he would be okay with that, the PA said, "You should reconsider who's messing up your kids."

Ep.2.10: "The House of Quark" with Armin Shimerman

Quark!!!

I'm still on this weid podcast/show: The Shuttlepod Show

And it's still fun. They had: Nana Visitor, Cirroc Lofton, Walter Koenig, Denise Crosby, Tim Russ, Nicole De Boer and ah so many more already in front of the microphone....

This time it's obviously time again for a special guest, Armin Shimerman.

[...]"Along with Patrick Stewart, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, and John de Lancie, he is one of only a few actors to play the same character on four or more different Star Trek series."[...]

So ... have fun with:

the world could benefit from a great many more revisiting (or first encountering) s1 e19 of star trek deep space nine.

pertinent notions for many... in several parts of the episode.

this one especially caught my attention and enthusiasm (my emphasis)...

jake: ... all the stuff about the celestial temple and the wormhole, it's dumb.
ben: :) no it's not. :) you've got to realise something jake, for over 50 years, the 1 thing that allowed the bajorans to survive the cardasian occupation was their faith. the prophets were their only source of hope, and courage.

jake: but there were no prophets, they were just aliens you found in the wormhole.
ben: to those aliens, the future's no more difficult to see than the past. why shouldn't they be considered prophets?
jake: are you serious? e_O
ben: my point is, it's a matter of interpretation. it may not be what you believe, but that doesn't make it wrong. if you start to think that way, you'll be acting just like vedek wynn, only from the other side.
jake: *nods*
ben; we cant afford to think that way, jake. we'd lose everything we've worked for here.

jake: you're worried, arentchya...
ben: *nods*
jake: what are you going to do?
ben: i'm not sure. but i've got to find some help.

hehe, this tidbit from the #startrek #deepspacenine pilot, seems to me to hint reminicent of what i've heard about the supressed flying saucers we humans have made. similar to the electrified leading wing edge of the advanced military craft.

Jadzia Dax: Could you modify the subspace field output of the deflector generators? ~ Just enough to create a low-level field around the station.
Miles O'Brian: So we could lower the inertial mass. ...?
Jadzia Dax: If you could make the station lighter, those 6 thrusters would be all the power we need.

Inertial frame of reference
In classical physics and special relativity, an inertial frame of reference is a frame of reference that is not undergoing acceleration. In an inertial frame of reference, a physical object with zero net force acting on it moves with a constant velocity—or, equivalently, it is a frame of reference in which Newton's first law of motion holds.

we could be flying around with effectively infinite acceleration, and not feel it inside, and it take effectively no energy to do it. directly add in sensitivity to fields of other things, and you can stop/change-trajectory instantly too, ever avoiding collisions. the technology already exists. has done for many decades. ... but availing everybody the best, is not fitting well with this insane enslavement plan thats keeping us dependent on poluting technologies of limitation, for rents, to maintain the power-imbalance. we could have #spaceshipsforeverybody

i bet someone knew, when writing the script for that star trek: deep space nine episode.

... lower the inertial mass

and take whatever spiritual/metaphorical/metaphysical insight you do from that
