China Opens Huge Underground Dark Matter Lab

Yeah, sure... a 7,800' deep hole in the ground to study dark matter; something that cannot be seen, touched, smelt, sensed, created/destroyed, or possibly even exists at all in the universe, except in the minds of imaginative theoretical physicists who use it as a placeholder for their unknown and unexplainable observations.

Wonder what good thing will seep out of this hole in the ground to destroy the world someday.

Physics and Cosmology just seem to be "inventing" more dark shit to explain the unexplained in this universe. I really wish some progress would be made soon (my lifetime, hopefully) that would explain the unexplained a wee bit better than just labeling everything "dark shit".

I don't believe that making up something to account for something that needs to be explained is a solution. I think Physics/Cosmology needs to focus more on the physics of the Universe that we just don't quite understand yet... like gravity, for example.

I'm pretty sure they'll figure this out someday, but I'm also pretty sure it's not going to be magical fairy dust floating around unseen and undetectable.
