She became famous in the 70s during the international music concerts that Farah Pahlavi, the wife of last Shah of Iran had set up in Shiraz.
For almost 30 years after revolution she was silenced by the taliban mullahs of IRI, but in early 2000 she was allowed to travel abroad and hold some concerts. Unfortunately I never managed to meet her in person or watch her live.
the 3 guys in the ensemble are old friend of my brother in Germany and we spent a lot of fun time together both in Sweden and New York when my brother was their concert organizer.
Parisa's voice is magical, despite her old age, she still has an amazingly beautiful voice.
In here, she is singing a song based on poems of Rumi.
