The image of occupation soldier happily shared on social media sums up the Israeli, palestinian conflict in such a kafkassque way that is really hard to ignore.

For Israeli soldiers processing kidnapped Palestinians in occupied West Bank, it's perfectly normal to share such selfies with joy. It's something they are proud of.

No matter that their occupation is illegal byall international standards.

No matter their kidnapping of palestinians is illegal by all international laws.

No matter that it is a disgusting and repulsive act to show joy in processing a Palestinian woman, no matter what she is accused of.

No matter who takes such picture, it's just simply WRONG.

BUT IDF soldiers are above all international laws, prone to criticism and simply untouchable.

The worst part is that so many so called progressives in Europe and US come to support this disgusting criminal and attack anyone criticizing it.

I was calling twice as Hamas supporter and terrorist sympathizer because of my comment about this image. Not that the woman in the background is with almost 100% centenarianity is not a member of Hamas and I'm pretty sure hasn't done any "terrorist" act. First of all because Palestinians living under Israeli occupation have the right to resist the illegal occupation and if she was in any way involved in an attack against IDF soldiers, she would have been shot and left to bleed to death on the street, instead of being kidnapped, handcuffed and blindfolded.

What I can say with experience is that she is either an family member of a resistance fighter and was kidnapped by IDF to force that person to surrender, while she can be held indefinitely by Israel under draconian apartheid rules without access to lawyer or even any charged with any crimes or face a judge with or without a lawyer.

Andmi really hate to keep writing this that if the roles were reversed, the image would be on front page of almost every western paper and web site with STRONG condemnation from political leaders and "celebrities"..

But sadly the happy IDF criminal will not face any charges for her disgusting joyful selfie and the Palestinian woman will probably be tortured, raped starved and miss treated for a.long time before she is released without any apologies or the ven explanations why she was held hostage.
