Used the cap of a milk bottle as the form, made an 18mm hole in it to fit on my #Dremel. Filled it with polymorph and waited until it was cold.
It fits perfectly in my stands for normal drills now. Saved 45 Euro on buying a new stand from Dremel and less clothed in my little worlshop. The amount spendt on 1kg #polymorph already paid off and still have 920g left : )
Time to start using the tool for my other #DIY projects!
Ich besitze nun seit knapp 7 Jahren einen 3D-Drucker von Dremel. Ja, natürlich gibt es inzwischen bessere und billigere. Aber für die eher geringe Anzahl meiner Drucke ist eine Neuanschaffung unsinnig. Das Teil funktioniert an sich auch noch sehr gut und liefert in den meisten Fällen gute Drucke ab.
Allerdings gibt es auch schonmal Drucke, da lösen sich die Kanten und Ecken während des Drucks von der Grundplatte ab. Klar, das Teil hat keine Heizung des Druckbetts. Gerade bei kleinen Teilen ohne große Grundfläche kann das passieren. Habe mich schon damit abgefunden...
... bis ich heute meinen Föhn im Bad gesehen habe und so dachte, wieso eigentlich die Grundplatte vor dem Druck nicht mit dem Föhn aufheizen?! Gesagt, getan. Und perfektes Ergebnis. Für die Erkenntnis brauchte ich Jahre. Autsch...

Going to borrow my girlfriend’s Dremel to grind the welds off my salvaged 18650 cell ends when I visit, but realized a way to hold and feed it vertically would made things much easier. Not about to haul my drill press there and it's far slower than the Dremel, so instead I remixed a mount for her model tool I found online into an arbor press attachment. Was a little worried about the thin connecting web even after I beefed it up a bit, but it seems quite solid. Fair number of people have used it, so I’m fairly sure it’ll fit the Dremel. Won’t have my printer to print a new version, but I can always file or shim.
Come to think of it, I should design a depth stop. Should’ve thought to add it in the main print, but I can bolt it on or glue it easily enough. Could really make the grinding process less error prone.
