Severe winter and heavy snow combined with cuts in gas and fuel supply in Iran, is making the lives of people, specially now those in rural areas extremely hard.

In #Azerbaijan city of #Saqqez, over 1 meter of snow has cut of the villages from surrounding communities isolating those who lack any mean of feeding themselves or keeping their home warm.

The government has ordered schools and many offices to close in order to save energy.

In the north eastern region of #Khorasan, extreme cold has shocked many, stopped several trains on the way and under heavy snow while many houses face punishment from the government for using too much natural gas or not paying their bills.

The situation in many parts of the country is catastrophic.
