In 1997, I think most people remember the #PortilloMoment as it symbolized the scale of the #Tories' defeat then. I went to bed at about 02:00 this morning and so I missed #JacobReesMogg being shown the door but it was a great pleasure to see #LettuceLizTruss get hit by an #iceberg when I woke up at around 06:30.
In the #UK, you now have to show some sort of identification before being allowed to vote. I asked an official if someone could show an expired passport for instance. I was quite surprised to hear that you can, as long as you still look like the photograph in it. To my mind that's not secure at all, since there are probably lots of people who look like you, say a disgruntled family member, who could masquerade as you.
And he still wants to be associated with them?

In #GeneralElections in the #UK, the most you can do is vote for your #ConstituencyMP. So if you want to get rid of the #Tories, the best thing to do is vote for the party most likely to unseat them locally where possible. Obviously if you're in a safe non-Tory then you can vote for who you like but in marginals and even in relatively safe #Tory seats, #TacticalVoting might be your best option.
