The spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, has complained that #Russia has improved the #Geran-2 #drones, making them even harder to shoot down.

He said they now approach the target from different directions, making it harder for Ukrainian air defences to do their job.

"Even if there is an influence of electronic warfare means on this drone, it can lose communication with the satellite for a while, but when it leaves the area of electronic warfare means, it restores it," said Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman for the #AFU air force.

It seems like #Ukraine has moved all it's air defense toward the eastern front and left #Kiev and other parts of the country completely defenseless.

Last night, Russia sent a large number of #Geran-2 UAVs (the ones Ukraine claims are Iranian #Shahab drones, renamed in #Russia) toward multiple targets deep inside Ukraine, none of the low speed, low flying #drones were intercepted.

There are no reports of how much damage or casualties were caused by the strikes, but it is the heaviest bombing in those areas in recent months.
