#Baluchistan province of #Iran is moving toward an open conflict with the regime!
On top of weekly massive protests after Friday prayers in #Zabol the capitol city, there are many reports of government forces, border patrol, regular army and RGC being targeted by "rebels", "smugglers" or "outlaws as regime media calls them.
Yesterday, colonel Mokhtar Momen and third lieutenant Abuzar Omidvar were killed and several others were injured when their patrol was ambushed.
The situation is turning explosive as it's proximity to Pakistan and Afghanistan makes it easy for rebels to have access to weapons plus the long history of smuggling routes between the 3 countries, it is almost impossible to control the borders.
On top of popular uprising, separatists and extremist groups such as #Ansarollah (soldiers of god) the Sunni separatist movement as well as I" #SIS of Iran" are gaining popularity and strength.
