Amazing music : Khosha Howraman by Kamkars خوشه هورامان کامکارها
The Ksamkars family from the #Kurdistan region of Iran is one of the most versatile and amazing music groups in Iran.
The ensemble consist of the family members and they play different instrument and sing in many different languages.
This song is one of my favorite. Never forget the night in Stockholm where I vent visiting my brother who was their organizer of their European tour, where they started playing this sing and listening to them play Daff (the drum) in a small room of my friend's apartment was an unbelievable experience. Daff has a very strong base sound that you feel it in your stomach when 3-4 people play it at the same time. That and the whole family singing the song (unlike the case on the video) was an unbelievable experience.
We had a great time with them when they visited NYC while I was there and spent a couple of days being their tourist guide taking them to my favorite hidden treasures of NY China town, Harlem and Spanish Harlem having what on of them said was their best world food tour in 2 days!
Ardalan, the guy playing Santur, at the right side of the ensemble is a music prodigy who plays many instrument at professional level, something that takes decades to master, he does it in months or even weeks. He has written many amazing Kurdish, Persian and western classic music and played in almost every country in Europe, US and Asia.
