The Little Prince - by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Enjoying some ongoing discussion of "one book to recommend", which has (on Twitter) included some great novels and authors spanning years and genres. My pick, trying to be broad-based rather than reflecting some childhood and college favorites, was The Little Prince / "Le Petit Prince*. It is an ode to wonder, I'd frame it, and thinking outside the box, from either a child's sense of awe or a far-removed perspective (like a little prince from an asteroid the size of a house).
Lots of discussion about this book and suggestions (fromTolkien to Bible to Color Purple, Hemingway, and Anne Frank.
And discussion about the MANY adaptations in film (animations) and television, and the movie trailer I'd posted. So here -
already posted to a shared of my original post and so added here now, easily viewed "here" or full-screen via YouTube....
The entire book, with illustrations, and narration by Kenneth Branagh. Enjoy.

Even cheerier...
In response to being asked "what one book should we all read"....
Me being me, I said that "we all" is a big tent, and readers are of different ages, different experiences, some books offer depth, others light, some are guides, others invitations to romance or adventure... etc. [~"context and perspective")
I wound up passing by some favorite novels, allegories, adventures, sci-fi, Sherlock Holmes, and other things I've enjoyed, and went with what has been my avatar (here! look!) for a long time - and The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is a book I'd recommend to nearly anyone, child or adult. About... wonder. Being human. etc. So I looked for a summary (Wiki has a good one) and then found a short clip of a 2016 movie from it. I've not seen it, and imagine it a wonderful child/family/adult film. Et voila:
