I have been on Mastodon to see the influx of Twitter-people - writing and saying welcome as is the custom. I was never a big fan of Mastodon which I see as the worst of the federated platforms, but I have posted my art there also for about a year (I used to be on mastodon.art but didn't like the admins). It is almost like when G+ closed and I think it is both good and fine that some new people with different habits arrive to the sleepy hamlets of the federation.
Fun to see how some of them come into the space trying to order people around and changing the place to force their own needs upon those peasants that have lived there for many years. But also the majority who just try to find their place in a new and not too hospitable virtual space.
All in all it is migration problems in a nutshell, but virtually harmless as it only involves the rubbish that is social networking :)
