There's only one kind of plant that produces pods like these and that's a milkweed. And these pods are produced by Honeyvine. It has beautiful leaves, beautiful flowers AND beautiful pods, but what's inside the pods have given it a bad rap for being "invasive". The seeds in there are exceptionally vigorous.

Unfortunately too many people mistake young Honeyvine for Bindweed and pull it up, and claim it's invasive when it isn't. If you care for it, it will reward you with beauty, Monarchs, and lots of other butterflies.

The flowers are from an unrecognized milkweed: Honeyvine (Cynanchum laeve) but it's not just Monarch butterflies that are attracted to it--it's called HONEYvine for a reason.
