The old Iranian potato salad with eggs and chicken. Had dinner and filled one of the big containers with the left overs.

Salad Olivier, the Iranian potato salad for dinner!

Olivier or Olevier is one of the most popular potato salads in Iran. Made by only a few ingredients, chicken breast, potatoes, hardboiled eggs and mayonnaise with a touch of black pepper and lemon juice.

Usually decorated with pickles and green peas or cherry tomatoes.

There are many varieties of it in different parts of Iran, with added carrots, green peas and other vegetables to it like the Russian winter salad.

Made the simple version with one chicken breast, 5 potatoes and 6 eggs using my last jar of Heinz mayonnaise that unlike the french ones, doesn't have mustard in it.
