I’m making Indian Fry Bread. Hopi Fry Bread. (Wequivi)
The balls of dough are under a towel now. I’ll roll them out, and fry in a cast iron skillet.
I’ll be traveling to the Hopi Reservation in Arizona in May - before it gets too hot here in the West.

Made celery stew with chicken breast instead of beef.

As I'm trying to cut back on red meet consumption, trying to make old Iranian dishes with chicken instead of beef.

1kg chicken breast diced to 2cm cubes
1kg yellow onion, slow cooked with turmeric, black peppers salt and paprika. Then added the chicken and some salt and more peppers, after 20 minutes, added 1,5L of water to it and l slow cooked it while chopping the vegetables.

One bunch of celery, cut in small pieces, 1 bunch of parsley, finely chopped,, 2/3rd of a can of spinach, a few branches of cilantro and garlic shoots. With 2 dried line crushed and the seeds removed. 1 table spoon of tomato concentrate, well mixed with the juice of the stew.

Slow cooked over an hour and then served over basmati rice. I have about 8 or 9 more meals to freeze.

I think I used a bit too much celery. But that is ok. I love the taste.

This is one of my no meat Monday dishes.

Lentil soup, with mong beans and dall lentils, with added fresh parsley from my hydroponicz leek from balcony garden with added rice.

As always, I cooked way too much so I guess it will be more than just meatless Monday.

Mix of meat, 2 table spoon of concentrated tomatoes, one whole tomato from the balcony and the split peas to slow cook.

I don't have any diced potatoes and don't feel like going out to buy them. It's good for now, tomorrow I have to go to the store to buy spinach (mine is not growing fast enough to provide with my needs).

This is going to be 5 containers, 2-3 dishes each.
Same with celery soup and it's going to be enough storage food until the mid March with other food I have in the freezer

Gheimeh Nesar is a dish from #Qazvin-#Iran.

The main ingredient is meat, usually lamb or beef. Other components are pistachio, almond, orange zest, and barberries. Moreover, we need some ingredients such as tomato paste, onion, saffron, and butter to make a sauce for meat. There are also some spices, including saffron, cardamom, turmeric, Advieh Poloyi, and salt. Adviyeh Poloyi includes spices such as rose, cinnamon, nutmeg, and carawayseed. Other ingredients are water, sugar, and vegetable oil. Furthermore, you need to prepare a dish of rice, usually Polow, to serve Gheymeh Nesar with. So rice is another ingredient you should consider.

Took advantage of being back in Paris for a short time and bought a lot of beans and spices at half the price compared to those in south of France.

It's unbelievable how much cheaper these products are in Paris. I bought 2 full bags of beans, spices, peanut butter and vegetables for 53 euros. The same items would cost me at least 90-100 euros here in the south.

Carrying them on the full packed train was a drag but now I can make some delicious Indian food for the coming months.
