Back in the day when I lived in the US, I knew a guy who worked on the daytime trash TV shows and he told me about the psychological tricks they used upon their guests. If Bubba and Lurleen were appearing on the show they would fly them to New York/Chicago/LA first class. Put them up in a swanky hotel for one night. Limousine to the studio and then flatter them on the way to a fancy green room. "Look Lurleen we are living like genuine Hollywood movie stars!"

They would be also isolated in the green room—for hours on end—not knowing what to expect. Only to be suddenly rushed out — without warning to the stage— and introduced to the audience before broadcast and then given a huge round of applause.

The purpose for the star treatment — before the show — was to make them feel special. So, that come showtime, they would extra 'Trailer Trash it up' by being compliantly outrageous. Within their limited, unworldly consciousness they believed they were stars now, and they subconsciously wanted the star treatment to continue. When the cameras were running they would give the director what was needed, and more. This is what often led to the on-stage fights. As they were fighting to keep their 'star trip' going.

However, when the show ended they were literally thrown out the backdoor and left to find their own way to the bus terminal. Having served their purpose.

They same techniques were used to get people to abide by the Covid restrictions. Payments for staying home. A sense of being special with their digital vax passes. Constant testing. Wearing masks everywhere. To keep them in lockdown luxury and sense of being pampered. The "heroes" dancing in music videos like "genuine Hollywood movie stars..."

Then finally the performance of the vaccine, only to be left to die on their own like dogs in the streets. Having served their purpose."

SupernaturalBorn in Dublin, Thomas Sheridan is a professional artist living and working in south Sligo under the shadow of the Ox Mountains. A former rock musician and graphic designer, he moved to the region in 1998 and has been painting full-time since 2005. Working mainly in acrylic on canvas as well as mixed watermedia on paper, his paintings have been described as vibrant, contemplative, poetic and soulful, with an underlying ‘Celtic' surrealist character.

His inspiration is drawn from many sources which have touched upon his life. From the human/spiritual condition within the real and emotional landscape, to the nature of reality and relationships. An avid reader and perpetual student; literary and philosophical currents also run heavily throughout much of his work. “Painting allows me to deliver the conversation I have always wanted to have with the world around me, and as a result, the conversation I have always wanted to have with myself.”

Thomas' work is in private collections worldwide and has been represented by several galleries. He has also taken part in exhibitions in Ireland and abroad. Thomas Sheridan is one of the founding members of the NorthWest Artists Group (Ireland).
