Trouble sleeping

Just a quick question for anyone who would like to chime in:

What, if any, over-the-couter medications have you found that addresses anxiety and the resulting insomnia? And any pros / cons?

I’m in the US, but I imagine there will be some overlap. And I realize everyone’s experiences may differ, but that’s useful information as well. I’m curious about medications specifically because I have used a variety of techniques, with varying success. Is it the old standby, Benadryl or is there something better?
