most of us own a smartphone so an app for Diaspora* is a nice to have : dandelion
there is no app in the google play store - but there is an alternative app-store; F-droid

  1. on your android-phone go to https://f-droid.org and install the APK - your phone will ask your confirmation to install APK's
  2. in the F-droid application you can then search for dandelion and install that on your phone.
