Diaspora's attracting some questionable types

I happened to catch an odd similarity in a couple of #newhere posts yesterday

https://joindiaspora.com/posts/a85d7459-115f-9fba-4760-0fb123772375

And

https://joindiaspora.com/posts/a85d7459-135f-9f7d-a108-97f831278834

Both titled "Newcomer", both with a pretty similar hashtag list, both with art rather than a photo.

That's @Matt Basler and @Denny Johnson respectively.

I inquired on each post if the users knew each other. Curiously, those comments have been deleted. Whoever's doing this is clearly trying to hide the fact.

The avatars are found elsewhere online.

"Matt Basler" (EboardNews) is using an Emmanuel Macron caricature.

"Denny Johnson"'s avatar shows up on AsianMack and Asad Mahmod.

No idea what the game is, but someone's creating multiple profiles on Nerdica.Net, a Friendica instance with ... no visible administrator contact. Maybe @info@nerdica.net? Federated platforms' lack of adequate alerting, monitoring, and flagging capabilities is ... not encouraging.

I suspect that the goal is to spam #ElectricSkateboard content, for whatever reasons. Possibly more.

(That the spammer cannot even properly form their target hashtag is ... amusing.)

Otherwise, you may want to block/ignore these profiles, and keep an eye out for similar.
