If We Keep What's Within Us, What's Within Us Will Kill Us is a sombre but hopeful track by Jon Brooks. It lifted my spirits today. #singersongwriter #singer-songwriter #folk #folkmusic
"Jackson C. Frank was an American Folk musician. He released his first and only eponymous album in 1965, produced by Paul Simon. After the release of the record, Frank was plagued by a series of personal issues, and was diagnosed with schizophrenia and protracted depression that prevented him from maintaining his career. Frank spent his later life homeless and destitute, and died in 1999 of pneumonia. Though he only released one record, he has been cited as an influence by many singer-songwriters, including Paul Simon, Sandy Denny, Bert Jansch and Nick Drake."

Just stopping by to say hi! It’s been a lot going on the past few months. I’ll be back more after the year when things die down. Greetings to all!

Hey everyone, I’m #newhere. I’m interested in #cycling, #folkmusic, #hiking, #homesteading, #oregon and #photography. I've thought about joining diaspora* for years, but never quite got around to it... now with all the revelations about what data predators Google and Facebook are and have been, I'm hoping that I can convince a few of my friends and family to at least join me here, even if they're not quite ready to delete Facebook.
Want to freak yourself out? I'm gonna show just how much of your information the likes of Facebook and Google store about you without you even realising it
