The university where i studied, Chalmers in Gothenburg (Sweden), has now banned political expressions on the campus. This is to my knowledge a unique event in Swedish history. Hopefully people will resist/ignore these new authoritarian rules and continue to speak up for peace

I happened upon a demonstration for #Palestine in a square in central #Gothenburg today. When i got there there i couldn't hear what the current speaker was saying but she was crying.
Then more speakers came and there were many Palestine flags in the air. I looked in awe at the people standing on the steps to the statue in the center of the square, everyone had Palestine scarves and many were holding or waving the beautiful flags in the air. It looked like something out of a movie.
A speaker then came on who talked about the suffering in #Gaza and after that speech i was emotionally exhausted and left moved and wiping my tears.
GODDESS OF PEACE --- NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT
The monument is made of an approximately 200-year-old log anchor, which corresponds to the time Sweden was spared from war.
The anti-nuclear weapons symbol that the goddess of peace lifts up has its origins in the 1950s fight against nuclear weapons and is used today as a symbol of peace around the world.
The people of Sweden want to live in peace and demand an alliance-free Sweden and a nuclear-weapon-free world!
The sculpture was donated to Gothenburg's peace-loving people by its creator Bertil Gustafsson. The monument was inaugurated on Hiroshima Day on 6 August 2018 and is managed by Fredsam. www.fredsam.se

Well.
My little adventure as a tourist in my own town is coming to an end.
Ofcourse i had to cap it off by braking my ATM card in the Machine of a local pub.
Luckily i payed first. It broke on the way out.
The chip fell off and was stuck in the machine for a while.
I have now seen dad, mom and grandmom so not bad.
In about a week I’ll be back here but then it will be more lodge business.
