A reminder, since this photo has been going around.

Yes, this was the police response to the Black Lives Matter protests. But this isn’t at the US Capitol, this photo was taken at The Lincoln Memorial. Behind these cops isn’t a building full of government leaders and staff. Behind them is a gigantic statue of President Abraham Lincoln. That’s right. The President who freed the slaves and waged a literal war against the white supremacists.

So maybe you’re confused.

Maybe you’re thinking, “All these SWAT cops are protecting Abraham Lincoln from Black Lives Matter? WTF?”

No. They’re not protecting a statue of Abraham Lincoln from BLM. They are protecting those steps from BLM. They’re preventing this historic steps from being used by BLM to make historic speeches.

That’s what they were there for. Martin Luther King Jr made his most famous and influential speech on the steps of The Lincoln Memorial. That’s what these SWAT cops were there to prevent. They were there to prevent BLM from using these steps to make another influential speech. They were there to stifle free speech, not to “protect” the memorial most beloved by BLM supporters.

A suggestion for Warren supporters who are voting today, and who are ambivalent about Biden vs Sanders:

I suggest voting for Warren.

If you're not really big on Biden or Sanders, consider that a significant vote percentage for Warren could help make the case for Warren as VP or Treasury Secretary, or even help make the case for Warren as Senate Majority Leader.

Remember, at this point it's not about getting delegates. No worries about reaching a 15% threshold or "wasting" your vote. It's purely about sending a message with a raw vote count.
