Today the local rural women's movement organised the solemn vigil for #Ukraine in #Nottuln. Despite the lousy weather roughly 110 people gathered which is around 1% of the population here. I'm a bit proud of that little town.

Heute organisierten die "Landfrauen" die Mahnwache für die Ukraine in Nottuln. Trotz des lausigen Wetters versammelten sich rund 110 Leute - das sind immerhin rund 1% der Bevölkerung hier. Ich bin ein wenig stolz auf das Städtchen.

Pictures of the yesterday's protest in #Nottuln against the the aggression in #Ukraine. Most remarkable for me was that significantly more people came (guesstimated: slightly more than 200) than two weeks ago (roughly 150) and several elderly people even with rollators were there.
At the end of the event school kids handed out hands made of paper, because due to the pandemic it's not ideal to shake hands directly.

Bilder des gestrigen Protests in Nottuln gegen die Aggressin in der Ukraine. Besonders bemerkenswert war für mich, dass signifikant mehr Leute (geschätzt: etwas mehr als 200) als vor zwei Wochen (etwa 150) und einige ältere Leute sogar mit Rollatoren da waren.
Am Ende der Veranstaltung reichten Schulkinder Papierhände, weil es wegen der Pandemie nicht so ideal ist, sich direkt die Hände zu reichen.
