Blue-winged Teals
Only this couple was swimming among a large group of limpkins.
I thought maybe they were orphaned ducklings who "imprinted to"/were adopted by the limpkins.
Now I imagine they are a couple, not young ducklings.
Smaller than mallards and other varieties, but in the duck family, males have the white bar on their face, females have brown dappled faces matching the rest of their body. Reference: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Blue-winged_Teal/id
